The long-awaited new product of the KS series! A compact optical isolation RS232C to RS422 conversion unit connected via a terminal block.

This is a compact, optically isolated RS232C to RS422 converter. It is the size of a compact cigarette box, making it very convenient for on-site construction with a terminal block (RS422 side) design. The RS232C connector is an industry-standard D-sub 9-pin. There is no need to set communication conditions such as baud rate. 【ESD test ±15KV cleared!!】 It is equipped with a surge absorber that protects all signal lines from overvoltage, ensuring safety against overvoltage issues. The RJ45 connector on the RS422 side can be directly connected with sister products KS-422N-RJ45W / KS-422I-RJ45W and commercially available LAN cables. The isolation between RS232C and RS422 provides excellent noise resistance and superior safety by protecting the equipment from destruction due to overvoltage and other issues. The termination resistor can be easily switched ON/OFF with a simple switch.

The long-awaited new product in the KS series! RS232C to RS422 conversion unit that can be used with commercially available LAN cables.

This is an RS232C⇔RS422 converter with isolation type that uses commercially available LAN cables, featuring Dsub9P (female) to RJ45×2 specifications. By using an RJ45 connector as the main interface on the RS422 side, it allows for the use of commercially available straight-type LAN cables, resulting in a very simple connection structure. Therefore, the workability on-site has significantly improved. Additionally, it excels in workability and electrical characteristics when connecting multiple units in a cascade configuration. It can also be used as a converter to connect devices outputting RS422 to a computer (RS232C = COM port). The RS232C and RS422 sides are isolated, providing excellent noise resistance and superior safety by protecting devices from damage due to overvoltage and other issues. It is compact, lightweight, powerful, and achieves high cost performance.
